iatf 16949 standards news auto industry word cloudIncluded with this note is a table (see page 2 / 3) that lists the documentation that is required for the implementation of a conforming system under the IATF 16949 Standard.

For the transition of your system to the new Standard there will need to be evidence that these documentation requirements have been met. The table is divided into three sections.
  • Section 1 lists the Required Documentation,
  • Section 2 lists the Required Records and
  • Section 3 lists the Required Documented Processes.

In each Section the clause of the Standard and topic of the requirement are listed. During the initial transition audit to IATF 16949 there will be an off-site review which will assess readiness of your system for transition.

Request a quote for a review or an ISO standards auditAs part of this review, evidence that the documentation requirements have been met will be required. By using the table below as your guide you will be able to confirm that you have the required documentation available to transition to IATF 16949. You will want to look at the requirements in the identified clause and evaluate your documents and records to those requirements.

Where your system lacks any of the required documentation you will want to create documentation that meets the requirement.

If you have any questions on this part of the readiness review please contact the ASR office. Thank you for your cooperation.
