Effective December 31, 2017 organizations that supply to ISO/TS 16949 customers will be required to hold a certificate from a certification body (registrar) that is part of the International Accreditation Forum Multilateral Agreement (IAF MLA).    IAF manages the worldwide process for accreditation.

This revision addresses ISO/TS 16949:2009 clause 7.4.1.2 Supplier Quality Management System Development which directs ISO/TS 16949 certified companies to use suppliers that are, at a minimum, ISO 9001 certified. The original Sanctioned Interpretation was issued in October 2009 and did not define what accredited meant.   This new sanctioned interpretation can be viewed on the IATF website (www.iatfoversight.org)

ASR holds a certification body certificate from ANAB, a recognized IAF MLA member. For a complete list of the IAF MLA accreditation bodies and their accreditation marks, go to www.iaf.nu
