A recent aerospace conference indicated that some organizations were not properly reviewing their customer requirements as it pertains to after delivery Support.

If a customer specifies that they are responsible for collecting and analyzing in-service data or actions to be taken including investigation and reporting when problems are detected after delivery, then Clause 7.5.1.4 cannot be excluded.

In the case of exclusion to 7.5.1.4, the justification should include evidence that your company has reviewed all of the customer requirements and has not found any post delivery requirements applied.

ASR will take the position, based on this most recent information from the governing authority, that an exclusion to section 7.5.1.4 may be taken if there is no evidence of post delivery requirements being imposed by a customer.
